Today we spent a couple hours at the neighborhood park where Little A made friends with a cute little girl.  He’s super friendly.  He went right up to her and gave her a hug and they were friends right then and there.

On this day, we went to a Middle Eastern market with Little A’s aunt and cousin Nautas.  Here they are in the shopping cart. Nautas is giving him a big kiss on his head…too cute!  I bought some baklava and lavosh bread – yum!

Today the sun was shining again, the weather was sweet and all was well again in my life.  I love the sunshine!  In the afternoon we decided to take everyone out to explore a nearby canyon trail right up the street from our house.  The hubby was in charge of Miles, our dog, and I was in charge of Little A.  It was a nice little walk, although it was pretty muddy.  At one point it got so muddy we made the executive decision to turn around.  I was imagining Little A doing a face plant right in the mud and I didn’t want to deal with cleaning him all up. 

On our way back I managed to break out the camera for just two shots.  In this one, Little A stopped to look at something down in the mud.  He’s pretty enthralled with ants right now so I think he may have been looking for some.  We’ve been doing battle with ants at our house as everytime it rains they start coming in through the cracks in our bathrooms and our kitchen.

Finally, with the series of storms behind us, we ventured out into our backyard today to begin the clean up.  We took the patio furniture covers off to let the furniture dry out and we dumped out all the pots and things that were overflowing with water.  I caught this cute one of Little A hugging himself underneath our orange tree.  Notice his cute little red vest.  Since he hates wearing long sleeves, especially jackets and hoodies, I had this idea to get him a vest.  He more willingly puts it on since it doesn’t have sleeves and at least it still keeps most of him warm.  I don’t know what we’d do if we lived somewhere much colder than our climate.  This boy does not like to wear a lot of clothing and would rather freeze!  Guess he’s a true California surfer boy through and through.

During this week we were pummeled by back to back storms.  For San Diego, this was some real weather, for a change.  During the night we got a crazy electric storm and hail pelting our windows.  Crazy!

On this day we took the kiddos together to get their haircuts.  It was Ani’s first time so Little A went first.  Seeing him sit in the chair like a big boy helped Ani be a good girl for her hair cut.  They both looked so cute with their new dos.
