On this day, we went to a Middle Eastern market with Little A’s aunt and cousin Nautas. Here they are in the shopping cart. Nautas is giving him a big kiss on his head…too cute! I bought some baklava and lavosh bread – yum!

I didn’t actually take any photos on this day but here’s one from the day we went to Legoland. The boys thought Grandpa’s truck was too cool!

Photo Blog Project 365: Day 163 – Thanksgiving with my family

The hubby and I come from very different families, which is evident in the ways in which we celebrate Thanksgiving. My family’s get-togethers are always very casual where we all just sit on the floor or the couch to eat because our group is so large. The hubby’s family’s get-togethers are more traditional where everyone sits at the table together. Since I never got to do this with my family, I very much enjoy Thanksgiving with the hubby’s family because it’s always really nice to all sit together and eat at the table, having nice conversation.
The funniest difference is in what we do afterwards. The hubby’s family all sits around the TV and watches the game. My family? Well, the older kids are usually playing the Wii or something similar, while the adults play poker tournament style (usually Texas Hold Em). Little A thought he was pretty cool playing poker next to Grandpa Pat and counting the chips. Notice the look of concentration on his face with his tongue slightly out. I always know this means he’s either concentrating really hard or he’s getting mad. His expressions always crack me up.
Photo Blog Project 365: Day 159 – Discovering our new backyard

Today Little A’s cousins came over to play and check out our new house. All three of them got to play on the redwood play structure for the first time and they had a good ol’ time. Little A and Nautas both wanted to ride in the bucket swing and since it is so big they both fit in it back to back. The bottom photo bugs me a little because Miles’ butt is right above their heads and it looks a little strange, but this was one of the only clear ones I got with them on the swings. BTW, Miles is really loving his new backyard, and Mika too.
Photo Blog Project 365: Day 137 – 29 & Holding for 7 years now!
On this day we celebrated my brother-in-law’s birthday with my family. He’s been turning 29 for 7 years now! Everyone had a great time swimming in the pool. Afterwards, Little A took a bath with his two cousins. I couldn’t resist getting a shot of them in the tub with their hair all spiked up with shampoo.
